Getting ready for Christmas

This is Lois Lane. She was rescued from hurricane Katrina, in 2005. She was rescued by Cathy Scott, one of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary journalist, hence the name Lois Lane. She hates to wear any clothing, but she put up with us this time for a quick picture. She is the love of our life.

Skippy is in ga-ga land, dreaming away.

Auntie Pat and Uncle Larry, with one of our babies, Sophie. She was found in Las Vegas, in one of our Best Friends volunteer's backyard. She was a stray, can you believe it, she only weighed 2 pounds when she was found. We have her up to 4 pounds now, and she's doing great.

TREAT TIME AT AUNTIE PAT'S PET SITTING

We caught Auntie Pat passing out some dried chicken breast. As you can see, all the dogs love it, unfortunately, that little guy in the back looks a little left out. Not, we covered everyone.

                                                       TWO THIRSTY LITTLES

Here's one of our kids, Sophie, and a little guest baby, Asher, a puppy mill rescue. When his mom goes out of town, which she does often, we keep an eye on her boy. He's a very funny baby, with the strange mannerisms he acquired while being kept in a cage, 24/7. Oh yeah, Asher 's the one on the left, sorry Mary Lou, we had to put a little girls t-shirt on him.

Funny Looking Guy

This is one of our visitors that came to Auntie Pat's while mom and dad went to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. I posted this picture just because he's kind of funny looking, that's all. He was a very sweet kid, and we really enjoyed having him. He's only 7 months old.

WAITING FOR MOM TO COME

Here's a couple of the little babies we watch, looking out the front window waiting for their mom to come and pick them up. Often times people will drop off their "kids" for daycare, while they go to St. George, UT, and shop. We are in Fredonia, AZ, 7 miles from Kanab, but only 10 seconds off the highway, so we are very convenient for anyone wanting our service. We are the closest boarding facility to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and to any of the river rafting companies.

The new "Dog Couch" that Lucy bought
Lucy, the Great Dane that's lying on the couch, was with us for about 3 months, during a session with bloat. Lucy's doing great now. Her parents are a little older and thought she would do better with us, through her recovery process. She was here long enough for us to buy this new couch, which all the dogs love. As you can see, it's plenty big enough for all of us, even when Lucy is here. That's Asher, a puppy mill rescue, that's in Pat's arms and Lucy's little sibling, Casey, at Pat's lap.

Feeding time at Auntie Pat's

This was a very busy night at Auntie Pat's. It feels like I'm feeding an octagon at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, when I was a caregiver. Fun times.
